Ghanaian legal practitioner, Maurice Ampaw, has reacted to Mona Montrage popularly known as Hajia 4real’s extradition from UK to US due to her involvement in a romance scam.
Speaking on Wontumi TV, Lawyer Maurice Ampaw expressed his fear for Hajia 4real stating that she has zero chance of escaping justice, as the US and UK law systems are firm and incorrupt.
He raised the awareness of people being involved in romance scams in Ghana.
According to Lawyer Maurice ”She can’t corrupt the system there because the judges there are firm. There are a lot of people in Ghana engaged in romance scam. We see them every day, they drive flashy cars and donate a lot of money”.
The controversial lawyer hammered on the unknown source of wealth of people including pastors, and lamented on the Economic Organised Office Crime (EOCO) taking less action about it.
“People are making money and you can’t explain where they got it from. Pastors in Ghana have about 50 houses” and EOCO are not going after them. There are corrupt politicians in the system,” he said.
Hajia 4real was arrested in Heathrow Airport in 2022 after attending the Ghana Music Awards in UK.
The socialite was granted bail but has been placed under surveillance as they probe further into the internet fraud case.
