Chief Executive officer of Public sector reforms, Kusi Boafo, has pledged to see to it that the needed printers at the Ghana Passport office will be provided.
Speaking in an interview with Kwaku Dawuro, on Movement In The Morning show, on Movement TV/Wontumi radio, Mr Boafo noted that in order to curb the extortion of money and people claiming to be middlemen at the passport office, one of the things needed is provision of printers.
Mr Kusi Boafo has however promised to provide them as preparations are underway.
He asserted that ” all I need is efficiency but as to suspension or firing of anyone from office is not my business, my business is the processes which will bring efficiency to Ghanaians. I’ve identified the needs which we are making provisions, wherever we are supposed to get money from, myself and Osafo Marfo have gone to do that. We have announced that the money is sitting there and I facilitated the client connection at world bank and got the money from Washington to Ghana and is sitting at the bank as I speak.
As easy as exchanging money for printer for installation to be done on it is, it is now a problem but I assure you that this year or early next year because I’m requesting for a shortcut approach to procure the printers, and bring them in as soon as possible that is the reason I cannot disclose it. It has not been accepted yet but once it does, I Kusi Boafo will not sleep on it but make sure to see to it that they are in.”
