The Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, famously known as Chairman Wontumi has stated that he has critical understanding on running a successful economy than ex-president John Dramani Mahama.
According to the most popular Regional Minister, John Mahama has no capability of leading a country like Ghana especially in a time where Covid 19 and Russian-Ukraine war has destroyed the economy.
He added that, countries such as London has cancelled all incentives but Ghana is still enjoying several privileges from the government. Chairman Wontumi highlighted on the health insurance, free toll, teacher and nursing training allowance, school feeding and the free SHS.
“John Dramani Mahami said free SHS can only be implemented in the next 20 years, but president Akufo-Addo used less than 2 years to implement the policy and that shows that President Nana Addo is a visionary leader”. he said
He added that “when a president assumes power, he has two years for appointment, one year for development and the the following year for elections. But in the midst of covid-19, president Nana Addo Danquah And Vice president Bawumia are doing their very best to grow the economy”
He concluded that, he supports the e-levy and would use internet banking and mobile money frequently to boost Ghana’s economy.
