Funny Face is opening up about his life after returning from the psychiatric ward as he reacts to the story of a fan who wants to attempt suicide.
The Comedic actor and brand ambassador appeared as a guest on the 3FM Drive with co-hosts Giovani and AJ Sarpong on Monday, April 3.
In a passionate appeal to the listener, Funny Face narrated how he got robbed by armed robbers after he got back from rehab.
The “Chorkor Trotro” actor had been battling depression which triggered manic episodes leading to several attempts to take his own life by suicide.
According to him, the thieves did not spare him as they ransacked everything in the room and left him with just a steam iron.
“I was robbed by armed robbers. They robbed everything and left me with iron. Yellow iron, a day later after returning I lost my father on December 6th,” he recalled the traumatic experiences.
He added that the tragedies could have set him back again but venting out to his manager helped him keep sane. Funny Face said he was advised by the reliable and supportive manager to keep the issue of the robbery to himself during that period because he had ‘suffered enough’
“For the issue of the robbery, my manager asked us not to bring it out because he said my brother you have suffered enough. That one is not out and this is the first time I’m saying it here and I’m saying it because of the current situation of the listener,” he said
Funny Face who is currently experiencing a rebirth after the tough spell said he botched his plan to commit suicide when he bought rat poison and was waiting for his change.
