A former deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Koku Ayidoho, has said he was sacked from his party because he begged President Akufo-Addo to renovate the Asomdwe Park.
He made this revelation through a phone-in interview on Movement In The Morning Show with Kwaku Dawuro.
The founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Atta Mills Institute expressed his disappointment in the NDC for neglecting the asomdwe park which holds the mortal remains of the late President Mills.
Koku Ayidoho expressing his let down said, “what sin did I commit, I only had good intentions for the party and for the late President Atta Mills. But God’s time is always the best, and I am happy that through President Akufo-Addo I have been able to renovate the park. I had to beg the President to renovate Asomdwe park-is that a sin? What my government couldn’t do, another government did and now they go about saying I am a bad person”.
“People are saying I have exhumed Atta Mills’ body from the park. The same space that is protected by security forces. Sammy Atta Mills couldn’t even renovate his brother’s burial grounds. I thank God I have been able to do this with the help of the Coastal Development Authority (CODA) and the President”.
He went on to say that on 24th July, 2022 Ghanaians shall see the outcome of the Asomdwe park. Adding that Sammy Atta Mills, brother to the late President Atta Mills has insulted and disgraced him over the park he has no idea where it is situated but he forgives him because of his former boss, late President Atta Mills.
