Deputy Ashanti Regional Organizer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwaku Atta Sarpong, has said that if the strategy adopted by chairman Wontumi prior to the Kumawu by-election is replicated during the 2024 elections then its a done deal for the NPP.
According to him, the Ashanti governor worked so hard and tirelessly to ensure that even though the seat had always been a safe one for the NPP, he left no stone unturn in his quest to ensure that the NPP maintains the seat.
“Chairman Wontumi never allowed we the executives to have our rest for a second. He’s inundating your phone with calls- he’s always on the move and that strategy really worked for us as a party in the by-election”, he told Kwaku Dawuro in an interview on Wontumi TV.
The regional chairman, Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako, relocated to the constituency one month ahead of the election to ensure the necessary structures were in place to secure victory for the party.
Adding that ” Dawuro, take it or leave it, I keep saying if we use the same attitude and strategy that we did for the Kumawu by-election in the run up to elections 2024, then NDC comes nowhere near the presidency”.
