Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako (Chairman Wontumi), has responded to allegations made by Reverend Owusu Bempah regarding his arrest.
In a recent interview on Wontumi TV/Wontumi Radio in Kumasi, alongside Lawyer Maurice Ampaw, Chairman Wontumi addressed the claims.
Rev. Owusu Bempah alleged that his arrest was orchestrated by the NPP due to his refusal to support Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s presidential bid.
However, Chairman Wontumi denied any NPP involvement, stating that Owusu Bempah’s arrest was a result of his issues with Agradaa.
In a bold statement, Chairman Wontumi claimed that if Rev. Owusu Bempah dared him, he could change John Mahama’s ballot number from 8 to 7 or 6.
Chairman Wontumi expressed unwavering support for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, predicting his victory in the 2024 presidential election.
