The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, paid a courtesy visit to the party’s General Secretary, Justin Frimpong Kodua, at the party headquarters.
This gesture came a day after his release from the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) on bail conditions of GH₵50 million.
During the visit, Chairman Wontumi expressed his profound gratitude to the General Secretary and the entire NPP machinery for their unwavering support during his challenging moment. “I came here this morning to express my heartfelt appreciation for the support you gave me during my trying moment,” he said.
He emphasized that the party’s support had been beyond measure and expressed his extreme gratitude for the love and solidarity shown to him.
The visit was attended by a number of notable party members, including Moses Abor, the former Greater Accra Regional Youth Organizer, among others. Chairman Wontumi’s gesture underscored the strong bonds within the party and the appreciation he has for the support he received during a difficult time.
