A member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Communication team, Stallone Nyarko is wondering if the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is now being runned like a society under the leadership of Mr. John Mahama.
In a studio interview with Mr. Gordon Asare-Bediako on the Ghana Nti political show which airs on Wontumi Radio in Accra, Stallone Nyarko stated that he is amused by Mr. Mahama’s inability to constitute a campaign and manifesto team just like Dr. Bawumia has done ahead of the 2024 general election.
“For their (NDC) campaign team, they can’t even give us names. We don’t know if they are a secret society or lodge”, he said.
The interviewer- Gordon Asare-Bediako interjected by explaining further that even with societies, they are now transparent than the NDC and run adverts on Facebook.
On Wednesday, February 21, 2024, the Flagbearer of the NPP constituted a manifesto committee for the 2024 general elections. The committee is chaired by Hon Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu and Sector Ministers will serve as advisors to the committees.
The Committee is responsible for undertaking a holistic review of the party’s 2016 and 2020 manifestos and engaging all relevant stakeholders to come up with a pragmatic 2024 manifesto.
The Manifesto Committee was further charged to discharge their mandate efficiently and professionally to produce a comprehensive manifesto document that can stand the test of time to address the legitimate concerns and socio-economic challenges of Ghanaians.
