Wanlov the Kubolor has opened up about his marital status in a new interview.
The Ghanaian-Romanian musician who is a father to ten kids with a slew of women said he found the concept of monogamous marriage to be absurd and did not see it in him.
“I don’t think I will dedicate my life to one person and be like in a marriage. I can’t, it doesn’t feel normal to me,” he said
Wanlov, 42, who was legally married in 2006 in the United States said he did that to acquire a green card but later refused to apply.
“I am actually already married. I got married for Green Card in America in 2006 but I never applied,” Wanlov revealed in an interview on Ghanaweb “I just left America and came and so I am still illegally married in America. It was just about papers.”
According to the popular singer who is also known as Emmanuel Owusu-Bonsu, having children was more profound to him than actually getting married hence his controversial choice.
“I feel like having a child is heavier than a marriage. Having a child is a responsibility between two people and no matter what, you have to uphold… that is superior to me than a wedding,” he said.
Wanlov currently has children Abonsamposuro, Ama Manpi, TV, Radio, Kojolesco Atala, Mali Wasti, Ebon, and three others with five women of different nationalities – American, British, Ghanaian, Dane, and Japanese
