It Is A LIE! Afia Schwarzenegger’s Arrest Hasn’t Been Revoked- Lawyer Maurice Ampaw

Maurice Ampaw

Lawyer Maurice Ampaw has described as false news spreading around that the bench warrant for Afia Schwarzenegger has been revoked by the court.

In an interview with Wontumionline.com shortly after Kwame A Plus posted on his Facebook handle that the court has taken the above decision, lawyer Ampaw pooh-poohed the report noting that it was a spin.

Throwing light on the latest development, lawyer Ampaw explained that it was rather the lawyer for Afia Schwarzenegger who has pleaded with the court for her (Afia) sentence to be suspended because she is ill, and the court is yet to take a decision on that.

He continued that the court has referred the matter to the Attorney General and it is yet to determine whether Afia should pay a fine or serve her prison sentence.

Lawyer Ampaw was quick to add that on the 15th of December, the lawyer for Afia has promised to produce her in court for finality to be put on the matter.

He therefore urged the public not to fall for the fake news being spread around by A Plus or likeminded persons.

Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa better known as Afia Schwarzeneggar has been declared wanted by a Tema high court.

This comes after the court had issued a bench warrant for her to be arrested for contempt of court- meanwhile; she’s nowhere to be found in the country.

Counsel for and on behalf of Chairman Wontumi, Maurice Kwabena Ampaw ESQ., on the 13th of July 2022 stated in an affidavit of support to the High Court that the Saturday, 9th July 2022, edition of the United Showbiz, was a clear agenda and attempt to give the 4th respondent (Afia Schwar), the needed platform to strengthen her case before the court and to seriously prejudice the matter before this Honourable Court.
