A communicator of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Kwadwo Agyei Yeboah popularly known as Nana Kay has said that he doesn’t know what change it will make if the President goes ahead to sack the finance minister. However, since the majority of Ghanaians are calling for such a move then it’s just right the President does so.
According to him, once the United Kingdom has done it, then it’s possible to be done”, he told Kwaku Dawuro on Movement in the morning show on Wontumi Radio/Movement TV.
“Sometimes we say sorry to our wives and children not because we are wrong but because we want peace to prevail.
Nothing prevents the President from sacking these two individuals whom even Parliamentarians have risen against. I heard that they’ve served noticed that they wouldn’t allow him to read the budget”, he said.
Adding that “there are equal solid men who can handle the same position. We shouldn’t make it look as though without one person the government will collapse. We all know it will never collapse, there are people who are better than him”.
In conclusion he said “Mr. President with all due respect, not because Ofori-Atta is not performing to your standard but because the noise is too much. So, take him off so that you can also say to Ghanaians that you demanded for the heads of the finance minister and the minister of finance at the Presidency, and I have given it to you- and with that Ghanaians cannot blame you again”.
