Mr. Bernard Allotey Jacobs has revealed that he has asked Dr. Kwabena Duffuor to cross carpet and help Dr. Bawumia’s campaign team ahead of the 2024 general elections.
“It will be political wise for Duffuor to support Bawumia. This country is important than a political party. If you have the knowledge you have to help Bawumia. He (Duffuor) must look at the greater interest of the country….He can sit on the side lines and give supports to ensure the dynamics change”, he said.
In his view such a move would be considered “politically wise” because Ghana is important than any political party.
The former Central regional Chairman for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in an interview on Movement TV which was monitored by Wontumionline.com, stated that prior to the NDC’s primaries, Dr. Duffuor called him to come and help his campaign but declined the invitation because he (Allotey) has already pitched camp with vice President Mahamudu Bawumia.
“Duffuor called me but I told him I have already declared my support for Bawumia so I can’t come and help him”, Mr. Bernard Allotey Jacobs said on reasons he didn’t partake in the NDC’s recent primaries.
