The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu, has affirmed his intention to re-contest in the upcoming national elections.
He disclosed this to the media on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at the Alisa Hotel in Accra.
“The party must allow those of us who have to lead this re-organization process to complete what we have successfully started and to deliver the needed victory for 2024”, he said.
He believes this is not the time to bring in an entirely and relatively inexperienced team to lead the party in what promises to be one of the most difficult general elections in the history of the party.
“My journey in the party started as a polling station executive member at Ablekuma Central and went ahead to become the constituency General Secretary, to a Research Officer, a Youth Organizer, and acting as the General Secretary before I later became the Chief Scribe of the party”, he disclosed.
Mr. John Boadu has confidence in the experience he has gathered since the inception of the NPP party and affirms he is still the right candidate to help the party win the 2024 general elections.
“This is not the time for try and error, this is the time for who has done it before and has the experience to do it again”, he said.
Mr. Boadu congratulated all the elected polling station executives, constituency executives, and regional executives who won the various internal elections. He also used the opportunity to preach peace and unity in the party and called on everyone to come together to fight for the interest of the party for victory in 2024.
