The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Parliamentary candidate for Ashaiman, Justice King Essel, has pledged to champion the welfare of youth and women if elected in the 2024 general elections.
Speaking exclusively to Movement News after the inauguration of the NPP’s 60-member campaign team for Ashaiman, Justice Essel emphasized the vast potential of youth and women in the community.
He acknowledged their critical role in driving development and prosperity in the constituency.
“My focus will be on empowering the youth and women of Ashaiman,” Justice Essel said.
“They are the backbone of our community, and it’s time we invest in their growth and development.”
Justice Essel’s commitment to youth and women’s welfare is built on his deep understanding of the challenges they face in Ashaiman. He plans to establish initiatives that provide education, skills training, and economic opportunities to unlock their full potential.
The inauguration event was attended by prominent NPP members, including past and present constituency executives, former parliamentary aspirants and candidates, and the only NPP Member of Parliament for Ashaiman since the 4th Republic.
Madam Joana Frances Ada, the first vice chair for the region and regional representative for the Ashaiman constituency, donated a seed fund of 20,000 cedis to support the fundraising committee. She urged the campaign team to go beyond the mile to ensure success in the upcoming election.
Mr. Ekow Korsah, representing the National party, urged all members and supporters to actively participate in the campaign, rather than being spectators, to make history in the upcoming election.
With Justice Essel’s leadership and the NPP’s commitment to Ashaiman, the constituency is poised for transformative change in the 2024 elections.
