A Presidential candidate hopeful for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Kofi Ampadu Apraku, has advised Finance to resign not because he’s not performing better, but just so for peace to prevail.
According to him, if the NPP MPs who could help him pass his bill and support him implement some of his programs are calling for his dismissal, then it’s a cause for worry- hence the finance minister is not left with any other choice.
“For the good and unity of the party, for the nation’s sake, you should accept it because Ghana is bigger than any individual, we all serve this country. I have nothing against him. I have worked very closer as the commissioner for economic research, and he is one person I have worked with- He’s been very good”, he spoke on movement in the morning show on Wontumi Radio/Movement TV.
“I have nothing against him. I think under this circumstance, sometimes you make a decision for the greater good and I think this may be one of those times when you make such decisions not because you’re not performing- but you look at the situation and say that under such circumstances, I am willing to go so that this country will go forward, the party will be united and then we can focus on the challenges we are faced with”, he stressed.
