The founder and leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Pervical Kofi Akpaloo, has confirmed that his party has pulled out from the impending Kumawu by-election naming the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as the party to support in the contest.
In his view, the NPP’s candidate for the by-election, Ernest Yaw Anim, is best to represent Kumawu in parliament for now.
Speaking on the Wontumi Morning Show which was monitored by Wontumionline.com, Mr. Akpaloo stated that the “LPG has withdrawn its candidature” based on the investigations they conducted.
“In the next two weeks, we would be voting and in 2024 there is going to be another election. We can’t do it now; we can only wait for the main 2024 elections”, he said.
