Member of Parliament for Manso-Nkwanta, George Obeng-Takyi, says Ghanaians should learn to be creative in order to acquire working skills to help improve the economy instead of relying solely on the government.
In an interview with Kwaku Dawuro, on Movement In The Morning on Movement TV/ Wontumi radio, Mr Obeng-Takyi called on Trade Unions like Ghana Union Of Traders Association (GUTA) and Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), to collaborate and bring out creative skills which can produce engineers who can work to fend for themselves, and improve the economy and also reduce the pressure on government to better the country alone.
Mr George Obeng-Takyi said: ”We should be creative enough to be engineers. We don’t only refer to people who build machines as engineers, but people who can craft designs. So lets make our students understand that our level of creativity can lead us to produce something better .If you want certificate and do not learn and create something for yourself, how can you make life possible, so lets look at that and re-orientate ourselves.”
