Greater Accra regional Director of elections and research, Ebenezer Doku has said that Ghanaians must appreciate what the government is doing.
According to him, there are a lot of things the government has done and continue to do even amidst the global crisis and therefore such efforts must be appreciated by Ghanaians.
“In 2017, the Ghana Health Service (GHS) recruited about Five hundred and eighty-One (581) medical officers, Nine-Hundred and Eighty-One house officers and certificate to degree holders were over eight thousand. In 2018, 11,000 medical officers were recruited. Amidst the economic difficulties, we are still employing people. Imagine how life would have been for all these people in the midst of this difficulties”, he spoke on Movement in the morning show on Wontumi FM/Movement TV.
He told Kwaku Dawuro that “we must appreciate what the government is doing. In the era of an erstwhile government, we were not fortunate to witness and experience the kind of developmental project. I had an engagement with a friend who was sabotaging the government. So, I asked him about whom he prefers against this government. Today, look at what Dr. Mahamudu and Nana Addo are doing? would you want to go back to John Mahama, and he said, John Mahama is not an option too. Nobody wants John Mahama although they are grumbling”.
He concluded by saying that the hardship Ghana is experiencing is not perculiar to us alone. Ghanaians must ask themselves, if they will want to go back to the era of John Mahama. Noting that the NDC will definitely present Mahama as their flagbearer and it’s still the same Mahama who wanted to sell the country’s mineral to his brother.
