The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Honourable Clement Wilkinson has told party executives to ensure that the party grows to a level where winning an election becomes easier.
According to him, he believes the party has done a whole lot in the last two terms of President Akufo-Addo. However, that alone isn’t enough to secure a victory for the party in the 2024 elections.
He advised that one of the many reason that the party could do that is to ensure that executives of the party open their doors to party folks and treat them with respect. This he mentioned that will help bring unity and togetherness to the party.
“We shouldn’t only rely on what President Nana Addo has done. Let’s all work hard to ensure the success of the party. I have dedicated Tuesdays for every citizen of the country who would want to have discussions with me. Ensure that nobody prevents you from seeing me on a Tuesday. The interesting thing is that most of them do not even come to ask for money but to furnish you with information and I will therefore urge that we open our doors to party members. The gap between executives, appointees and supporters should be closed”, he told Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning Show on Movement TV/ Wontumi Radio.
“Come what may, by the grace of God, we are breaking-the-eight jinx in 2024 but we need to work hard to ensure our success is materialized”, he said.
