The Volta regional Organizer for the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP), Korsi Bodja, has described former President Mahama as an inconsistent person.
According to him, former President John Dramani Mahama has consistently been inconsistent- noting that after he had been in opposition for six years, when he gets any platform to address Ghanaians, one would have expected that the former President will make known his intentions and plans for the country if he wins power. However, he’s doing otherwise, denigrating the judiciary at any given chance because the 2020 elections petition ruling didn’t go in his favour.
“If you had an issue with the ruling, why didn’t you go and appeal? You could have gone for a review so that two(2) more judges would have been added to the panel. You never did this but decided to denigrate the judiciary. Is he not the same person who told us during his tenure that the Electoral Commission(EC) is an independent body of which even he as a President cannot interfere with the process of the EC-but after losing elections, he’s always criticizing the EC”, he said.
Stressing that “six years as an opposition leader, the NDC and Mahama have not been able to give an alternative policy, telling us what they want to do when they get the opportunity. So I think giving them so much attention is some sort of disservice to us. All they do is to lambast the judiciary, then the media also gets time to discuss this. We are giving him some oxygen of publicity”.
In furtherance, he asked that the media goes one step ahead of some of these utterances by the former President so that when he gets the opportunity to spew them, quickly he could be held accountable.
“Mahama has consistently been inconsistent”, he concluded.
