The deputy director of communication for the ruling New Patriotic Party, George Krobea Asante, has alleged that the former president and presidential candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama was responsible for the mass booing of vice President, Mahamadu Bawumia in Volta region.
Speaking on Movement In The Morning Show with Kwaku Dawuro on Wontumi Radio/Movement TV, Krobea Asante stressed on the fact that Mahama, on the pretense of going to ask permission from Togbe Sli to miss the 60th anniversary of the Hogbetsoso, went to mobilize people and paid them to boo the vice President of Ghana on his visit to the Volta region.
He asserted that ”John Mahama secretly went to see Togbe Sli on Friday, and gave a flimsy excuse of going to absent himself from the occasion since he had a funeral. What motive did he go there with? Now information reaching us is that he went to mobilize the people.”
Adding that ”I have cited videos of fight amongst his people during one of their movement and I expected him to come out to comment on the issue to prove us wrong.”
