Broadcast Journalist, Dase Agyei Dwamena has opined that there’s no way John Dramani Mahama will consider Klottey-Korle MP, Zanetor Agyemang- Rawlings as his running mate for the 2024 elections.
This comes after it emerged, according to sources close to the former president that there is a hunt for a replacement for Prof. Opoku-Agyemang who was nominated vice presidential candidate for the 2020 general election.
Names of prominent NDC figures have emerged including former Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah; former Chief Executive of the National Health Insurance Authority, Sylvester Mensah and former Vice Chancellor of the University of Professional Studies, Accra, Joshua Alabi.
Meanwhile, discussing this on Movement In The Morning Show on Movement TV, Kwaku Dawuro the host of the show, mentioned that Zanetor Agyemang-Rawlings will also be a fine running mate if John Mahama decides to choose someone from the Volta region.
However, Dasebre had a different opinion. According to him, there’s no way Mahama will ever choose Zanetor Agyemang-Rawlings for such position, not because she’s not fit. But then, due to the hostility between Mahama and the mother of Zanetor, Madam Konadu Agyemang-Rawlings.
“The party may agree with such choice, but Mahama will never accept her because of the hatred he has for her mom. In an unlikely event that she’s chosen, then what we need to know is that the party had forced that on Mahama, contrary to his will”, Dasebre said.
