Former AC Milan forward, Kevin-Prince Boateng beleives former Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli could have won three Ballons d’Or during his career.
Boateng played alongside Balotelli at AC Milan and saw the qualities of the Italian up close.
Balotelli scored 33 goals and provided nine assists in 77 games while at AC Milan.
However, it was at Man City where Balotelli’s meteoric rise began as he caught the eye with brilliant performances.
The Italian scored 30 goals and provided seven assists in 80 games for the Premier League champions.
Many expected Balotelli to go on to reach the top of European football, but that failed to happen as he eventually made moves to the likes of Swiss side Sion and Turkish club Adana Demirspor.
“I love Mario Balotelli, I think he could have won three Ballons d’Or,” Boateng,who is a former Ghana international said via (GOAL).
Balotelli won the Champions League with Inter Milan in 2010. He played for the likes of Liverpool, Marseille and other clubs.
