Media Personality, Tinalove Nayram has launched a campaign dubbed #OneKidOneShoe to support students in underprivileged communities.
Two months ago, a heartwarming video caught her attention. It showed students walking barefoot to school in Dorfor, a community that had been affected by a dam spillage.
Moved by their plight, she decided to take action. With the rainy season approaching, she wanted to donate shoes to these kids.
She shared her idea with a few friends, who readily offered their support. She also added the money she received as birthday gifts to the donation fund. Together, they collected 70 pairs of shoes and 50 socks.
As she prepared to deliver the shoes, she discovered that the students were indeed victims of the dam spillage. She was even more determined to make a difference.
She took to social media to share the journey with her followers “Yesterday, I traveled to Dorfor, accompanied by Tse Kofi Jupita Azietor, who had been instrumental in making the donation a success. With the help of Abimael Kponu and her sister Kika Franca, we distributed the shoes to the grateful students.”
Overwhelmed with joy and gratitude, she expressed her thanks to all who had supported the project, dubbed #1kid1shoe. She also acknowledged the efforts of her boss, Phoebus Chrissy Agbenu Xupa, who had allowed her to take time off to pursue this noble cause.
Though the donation was successful, she realized that the students still needed more shoes and school uniforms. She appealed for additional funds to support the community further.
Fulfilling this mission had brought her immense happiness, and she gave thanks to God for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of these deserving students.
