Known for having a striking resemblance to renowned artist, Mr Drew, Nicholas Amoako affectionately called Phewcha, claims his music sounds like that of Drake and Kendrick Lamar.
Speaking in an interview with Shatta Michy, on Movement showbiz, on Friday April 14, 2023, on Movement Tv, Mr Drew lookalike boasted of how his style of music sounds and suits like that of multiple award winning artistes, Drake and Kendrick Lamar. According to him the recent patrolling and trend of the lookalikes is a strategy to gain grounds in the entertainment industry before introducing their actual selves.
He said ”when you hear my sounds, you’d think you’re listening to Kendrick Lamar and Drake. I’m a serious artist but if i didn’t thread on this lookalike path you wouldn’t notice me, so its a strategy so now that we are 84% out, if we are able to reach 95%, we will outdoor our true personalities. Now we are shaking the system a bit but its not very firm so once its firm, you will believe us. Some of our elders listen to us and we have a freestyle on my page which people advise us to record because it is too good, but as we have God, no weapon they form against us by some of the elders shall prosper.”
