Nana Addo Alone Has Constructed More Roads Than Any Gov’t Since 2001- Adams Sabo (VIDEO)

The Greater Accra regional Director of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Adams Sabo, has noted that the Akufo-Addo led administration has constructed more roads than every road constructed in Ghana since 2001.

According to him, the Kilometers of roads constructed by the Nana Addo government since 2021 alone, surpasses what was constructed since the era of former President Kufuor up until former President Mahama’s era.

Speaking on Movement In The Morning Show on the achievements of the President, Mr. Sabo said that “the NDC could now attest to the fact that the NPP government has brought much more development to Ghana, hence the reason for their silence on developmental debate nowadays- there’s no single region or district that hasn’t benefited from the construction of roads under Akufo Addo’s era.”

“Sometimes when we say this, many people are not able to understand- let me give you the NPP’s record when it comes to the construction of roads. From 2001 to 2008, the Kilometers of road which were constructed by the Kufuor and Aliu Mahama was 6403km whiles the NDC in 2009 to 2015, constructed 2554km which was only 39.4% of what Kufuor had constructed- but currently, from 2021 the roads constructed by Nana Addo is 94,203km which we haven’t even ended yet. Therefore, if you combine all this and compare it to what President Kufuor and the NDC had constructed, you will realize that the Nana Addo government has constructed more roads than roads constructed since 2001 till 2015”, he explained.

He further gave a breakdown of how the road construction has been so far. “There are three types of roads; trunk road, urban road and feeder roads. For the trunk roads alone, we’ve constructed 14,948km, whiles feeders roads; 50,777 and urban roads 28, 480km”.

“Quite apart from that if you look at the interchanges too, we’ve completed the Tamale interchange, Pokuase, and the construction of the PTC Takoradi interchange is ongoing”, he stressed.
