A communications team member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Jamaludeen Abdulai, has noted that President Akufo-Addo is a man that considers today, the immediate future, and the future itself, when taking certain decision.
According to him, Nana Addo doesn’t think about himself, but the future of the country. Hence the many social interventions geared toward improving the socio-economic life of the citizenry- but urged that Ghanaians also play their part.
“Development is not the sole responsibility of just the government, but a responsibility of us all, to contribute our quota and also do what is needed of us as citizens so that the country could prosper.
Explaining that “people know what other people are doing but fail to draw the attention of authorities. Because how come Aisha Huang was in this country and was not reported but had people transacting business with her. How did she get into the country? A thorough investigate will reveal that she was helped by a Ghanaian. This tells you how wicked we have been to the country as citizens but turn to blame politicians. The canker in this country goes beyond politicians”.
According to him, over 80 or 90% of the irregularities which are always cited in the Auditor General’s report is mostly pointing fingers at the civil servants.
“Nobody will come from anywhere to develop the country. We should all play our part and that is why Nana Addo is doing his part. He looks at today, the immediate future and the future itself”, he concluded.
