The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Bono Regional Chairman, Kwame Baffoe Abronye, has accused the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of spreading falsehoods against the Electoral Commission (EC) to undermine its credibility.
Addressing a press conference in Sunyani on Tuesday, Abronye DC stated that the NDC’s claims of bias and incompetence within the EC are baseless and intended to create confusion among the populace.
“The NDC is afraid of losing the 2024 elections and has resorted to lies,” Abronye said.
Abronye challenged the NDC to provide specific examples or data to support their claims of irregularities or bloated voter registrations in certain constituencies.
“Ghana has 375 constituencies. If the NDC claims irregularities, let them provide evidence,” Abronye said.
The NDC has raised concerns about biased selection of electoral areas for voter registration, favoritism towards the NPP, and lack of transparency in the electoral process.
