A deputy communications Director of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Jennifer Queen, has said that the NDC is best known for is retrogression.
According to her, because the NDCs want to come into power, they keep saying anything they want just to make the government of the day unpopular.
“Because someone wants to become a President, so he keeps throwing tantrums. When they are in opposition, they want to dictate to you and tell you what to do in government. NDC is best known for retrogression. Do you think they don’t know that we are in a crisis? They are very much aware, but because they want to come into power, they continue to say other things”, she told Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning Show.
Adding that if indeed the NDC has sympathy and knows that the economic woes are caused by mismanagement on the part of the government, then they should stop taking ex-gratia. He should have called for the prosecution of the NDC MPs who took double salaries, when Abronye DC went to the court.
“The only reason Mahama is upset with the IMF is because his expectations were never met. They thought the NPP would have been on the same scale with them on the IMF bailout. But there’s a reason you went to the IMF and there’s a reason we need support from the IMF”, she stated.
“There are people in this country who are aware of the economic situation but are beneficiaries of this government which they don’t belong to, even much more than members of the government- and that is NDC is for you. Unfortunately, when they say so then people also tend to believe them, but glory be to God that Ghanaians have begun to know who the NDC are”, she added.
