A member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) communications team, Philip Twum Yeboah, has disclosed that going into 2024 general elections, the opposition NDC will make wild allegations against the ruling party.
He cited a scenario in 2008, where the NDC had printed bank statements in the name of H.E. J.A. Kufuor and were circulating it.
This, he noted was in a bid to paint a bad image about the then President. For Ghanaians to think that he had enriched himself with state resources.
He spoke to Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning show on Movement TV.
“When it comes to machinations and lies, the NDC does it best. In the run-up to the 2024 elections, that’s exactly what they do. They have a host of press conferences lied up prior to the election. I will urge NPP members to ensure that they do not go into the gutters with them. Especially for the youth of the party”, he said.
“The NDC is dying hard to win elections 2024 and we must also prepare ourselves for them. However, we shouldn’t be reacting to almost everything they do or say. It may a trap”, he advised.
He was quick to add that the NPP remains the hope of the country and what they need to do as a party is to sell out their message to Ghanaians.
“Our worse is better than their best. The NDC has no message and can never become an alternative””, he said.
