In a series of coordinated dawn operations in Dadiase, law enforcement officials have arrested 64 individuals in connection with the renewed Nkwanta South clashes that claimed over six lives and destroyed properties.
The latest crackdown is part of a broader effort to restore peace and order in Nkwanta, which has been marred by violence and unrest.
The operations, which began on Monday morning, are in response to escalating tensions that have plagued Nkwanta and its surrounding communities.
So far, approximately 115 individuals have been apprehended since the recent gun attacks began.
Among those arrested, 51 have been granted bail, while the remaining 64 individuals are being held for further investigation.
However, speaking with Adom News, some residents have expressed satisfaction with the swift action taken by the joint security operatives.
They hope that these measures will help quell the unrest and foster dialogue among the conflicting parties.
During his visit to Nkwanta South, the National Security Coordinator, DCOP Abdul Razak Osman, reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring safety and stability in the area, urging all to engage in peaceful negotiations.
