Greater Accra Director of elections and research, Ebenezer Doku, has debunked speculations that the party is protecting Ayawaso West Wuogon MP, Lydia Alhassan from contest in the upcoming primaries.
This comes after a former Youth organizer of the constituency, Samuel Owusu Amankwa was disqualified from contesting the Ayawaso West Wuogon seat in the primaries. The party explained that he’s not of good standing in the constituency.
However, there have been allegations that he was disqualified in order for Lydia Alhassan to contest unopposed.
Speaking to Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning show on Movement TV, he stated that “Our regional Minister, Henry Quartey is not running unopposed, look at Ursula Owusu’s contribution to the party and yet, he’s not running unopposed. This should tell you that we are not protecting any Member of Parliament in the region”.
