Government’s spokesperson on social services, Alhaji Fofana has alleged that the recent booing of the President and his Vice are moves to tarnish the image of the government by the opposition NDC.
He said that even under the worse economy of former President Mahama, nobody was booing him and that buttress his assertion that indeed it’s a planned attempt.
Speaking on Movement in the morning show on Wontumi Radio/Movement TV he said that “if that is the way they want us to go then we are ready. John Mahama shouldn’t come out at all. Even when he presided over an economy when there was no COVID-19 pandemic and Russia-Ukraine war, yet Ghana went to the IMF and slept in dumsor for five years”.
Adding that “what we were doing is proffering solutions- so if we take any sector at all then we give practical solutions. So, for example under education, we were talking about free SHS. we spoke about how the northern sector had been deprived of development since colonial days and therefore we were going to create develop authorities, build dams among others and that was what we were doing in opposition”, he told Kwaku Dawuro.
In conclusion, he said that the NDC hasn’t been able to do anything as such.
