NPP-Affiliated Members Win District Assembly Elections With 57.41%

Per records shared by the New Patriotic Party (NPP), candidates affiliated to the party led yesterday’s District Assembly Elections with 57.41%.

In news card shared by the party and verified by Wontumionline.com and Movementtvonline.com, it stated that “We thank all our members for this massive support. Let’s work even harder as we wait for some electoral areas in the Eastern and Ashanti regions to also vote come Thursday.”

The district-level elections, scheduled by the Electoral Commission (EC) took place on Tuesday, December 19.

Over 66,000 individuals are competing for assembly and unit committee positions in the upcoming local polls.

The EC’s statistics indicate 18,755 assembly member candidates and 47,502 unit committee member candidates, totaling 66,257 candidates.
