NPP Decides: Vote For Leaders With Competence To Break The Eight- Former MP Urges Delegates

Former Member of Parliament(MP) for Ayensuano, Hon. Samuel Ayeh-Paye, has said that delegates of the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP), will have to elect candidates who have the competence to help break the 8-year jinx.

In an interview at the ongoing 2022 National Delegate Conference at the Accra sports stadium, the former MP indicated that “what every delegate should have in mind should be how to break the eight and as such, must elect leaders who wouldn’t be partial in their decisions but put the party first; leaders who will unify the party and wouldn’t do things for their parochial interest”.

“The main focus ahead of the party is to break the eight. Those who will be elected today will be the ones to ensure that indeed we are able to break the eight and that is why we need leaders with the skills and the competence to help break the 8-year cycle”, he added.

Over 6,000 delegates of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) have arrived at the Accra Sports Stadium, for this year’s National Annual Delegates Conference under the theme “Holding together; working together”.

47 Candidates are contesting for 10 positions.
