NPP Has Not Mismanaged The Economy- Comm. Officer NPP Finland Branch

Communications officer for New Patriotic Party (NPP), in Finland, Kwame Bamforo has emphatically stated that the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has not mismanaged the Ghanaian economy as the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) want Ghanaians to believe.

According to him, Ghana’s economy was hit hard by the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russian/Ukraine war likewise other European countries.

However, despite the dire effect of the pandemic and the war, the NPP Government has been able to do a lot for the citizenry and there’s the need for government to propagate its good works for Ghanaians to appreciate that the government has been able to achieve a lot despite the economic downturn.

“As you’ve given us this platform and opportunity, we will from time to time, speak to Ghanaians and let them know that the government has really done a lot and thus, they shouldn’t pay attention to the lies and propaganda of the NDC….if we don’t tell Ghanaians what we have been able to do, they would never know and hence, will believe the lies of the NDC”, he told Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning show on Movement TV.

“Government has admitted on countless occasions that we are not in normal times…and we all know the root cause of it….The impact of COVID-19 is very significant…it affected almost everything…”, he said.

He noted that at the end of 2022, Finland’s public debt was 25Billion Euro, higher than the debt to GDP ratio.

Adding that this is an indication that even the European countries were not left out of the economic effect of COVID-19.
