Press aide to Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, Ama Bempomaa Mensah, has announced the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) plan to create four million jobs for Ghanaian youth.
Speaking on Movement TV/Wontumi Radio with Kwaku Dawuro, Ama Bempomaa outlined the party’s strategies.
“The NPP government is targeting four million jobs for Ghanaian youth,” she stated. “This will be achieved through various initiatives, including importation and exportation of workers.”
She highlighted the one million digitalization jobs, focusing on educating youth in digital skills. Additionally, the NPP party will create 50,000 jobs under Agenda 111, comprising 75,000 health professional jobs and 75,000 non-health jobs.
A Digital Scale Sub Africa report forecasts 230 digital jobs in Africa by 2030, with nine million available to Ghanaian youth.
Dr. Bawumia plans to extend the “Job Abroad Program” introduced by President Akuffo Addo, providing more opportunities for youth abroad. Enhanced training programs in health-regulated fields and hospitality are also planned.
