A member of the NPP communications team, Dr. Francis Kyei has noted that the reason he supports Dr. Bawumia in the Presidential primary is due to his digitization drive.
Speaking on Movement In The Morning show on Movement TV/ Wontumi Radio, he noted that with the digitization drive of the Vice President, fighting corruption has been a walk in the park.
“I was in the states in June, and we had made purchase of some items, and we were making payment of bill. However, the payment of bills is in such a way that at the end of the session when they are done with the tally, they add the state taxes to it and automatically the supplier files those tax returns. The systems in place have made it so easy for even artisans to file their tax returns…this is what we are talking about…there’s no need to talk about corruption when there are systems in place. The systems will definitely fight the corruption”, he explained.
“When you have digitization, you have nothing to worry about and that is why we believe Dr. Bawumia is the right choice”, he added.
Mr. Kyei furthered that the vision of the party is to break-the-eight-year jinx and if that will be possible then the party needs a leader of substance and who is blameless of corruption or corruption related offenses.
