Head of Faculty of Accounting and Finance at the University of Professional Studies – Accra, Professor Isaac Boadi, has endorsed the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as the best managers of the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy.
In an interview on Movement Television and Wontumi Radio’s “Movement in the Morning Show,” Prof. Boadi emphasized that the NPP, led by Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, is better positioned to sustain the policy due to their role in introducing it.
“The one who gave birth to the child is in a perfect position to protect his welfare than someone from outside the family,” Prof. Boadi stated, referencing the NPP’s pioneering role in implementing Free SHS.
He commended the Nana Addo-led NPP government for prioritizing education, noting that investing in education is crucial for a country’s future.
“Any country that wants a better future for its people should invest in the education of the people… The impact of Free SHS is beyond imagination,” Prof. Boadi told Kwaku Dawuro.
Prof. Boadi’s endorsement comes ahead of Ghana’s 2024 general elections, where education policy is expected to be a key campaign issue.
