Western Regional Communications officer, of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Issah Fuseini has vowed to help prosecute an effective campaign aimed at winning back at least the four seats the party lost in the region in the last general elections.
According to him, the party lost those seats due to the government’s relentless fight against galamsey- because those areas were noted for illegal mining.
He told Kwaku Dawuro on Movement in the morning show on Wontumi Radio/Movement TV that the NPP needs all its supporters and sympathizers to ‘break the 8’. “We shall together work to change the face of our party in the region and put in place mechanisms for winning back seats that are currently in the hands of our opponent as well as make history by breaking the 8”, he stressed.
“Except for Tarkwa, we lost all our seats in the galamsey areas. This time around, we are putting measures in place to take back our seat. For now, our plan is to get the seat backs. Maybe after that we can snatch the others too”, he said.
