A member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) communications team, Philip Twum Yeboah, has expressed confidence that the party will secure a massive victory in the Eastern Region in the upcoming elections.
According to Yeboah, the region has always been poised for victory, and he is particularly interested in the Yilo Krobo constituency, which he believes the NPP will capture for the first time in history.
Speaking on Movement In The Morning show on Movement TV with Kwaku Dawuro, he said that “the NPP is working hard in this constituency, and most of the road contracts have been awarded. We need to take this seat in this election,” Yeboah said, noting that the constituency shares boundaries with Juaben South and Okere.
Yeboah attributed the party’s momentum to the enthusiasm from the regional Chairman to the grassroots level, saying, “We are campaigning as though we are in opposition. The momentum is high, and we are touching base with the people.”
He emphasized that if the party fails to win the election, it should be blamed on the party’s efforts, not on a lack of performance.
Yeboah also stressed the need for unity within the party, particularly with those who lost the parliamentary primaries. “We need everyone on board. We should not despise them.”
The NPP’s confidence in the Eastern Region comes as the party intensifies its campaign efforts ahead of the elections.
