National Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye (Nana B), has revealed that the party’s defeat in the 2024 general elections was largely due to the apathy of its members.
According to Nana B, over two million Ghanaians did not vote, with the NPP being the most affected.
Speaking on Movement in the morning show on Movement TV/Wontumi Radio, Nana B attributed the party’s loss to a “society” within the party that promotes apathy.
He noted that some members of this group are experts in various fields, including political science, mathematics, and computation, who can help reunite the party.
Nana B appealed to NPP executives and members to reorganize and reposition themselves for the 2028 general elections. He also expressed confidence that Ghanaians will soon praise President Akufo Addo for his good work, despite current mockery from some quarters.
