NPP’s Poor Expectation Management Led to Defeat – Paul Amaning

A communications team member for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Paul Amaning, has attributed the party’s defeat in the December polls to poor expectation management.

Speaking on Movement TV/Wontumi Radio, Amaning explained that the party’s assumption of an easy win led to a lack of motivation to campaign effectively on December 7th.

He noted that the party’s failure to recognize and reward its loyal supporters during its eight years in government also contributed to the defeat.

“The party’s business people were neglected, and that employment opportunities were given to all Ghanaians, regardless of their party affiliation”, he added.

Amaning expects the party to disclose the strategies it employed ahead of the 2024 elections. He hopes that this reflection will help the party to learn from its mistakes and bounce back stronger.
