Nsoatreman Vs Kotoko Violence: Clubs Agree To Enhanced Matchday Security Protocols

The 18 Ghana Premier League clubs have pledged to implement stricter matchday protocols following an emergency meeting held on Thursday at the Ghana Football Association (GFA) headquarters.

During the meeting, club representatives unanimously agreed to enforce the club licensing regulations more rigorously.

In a joint statement, the clubs announced: “All Premier League clubs have agreed to enhanced matchday security protocols.”

“These protocols will form the basis of an Executive Council meeting at the GFA secretariat on Friday, February 7, 2025, after which the comprehensive guidelines shall be published ahead of the Premier League season.”

Notably, the highly anticipated joint position paper from Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko was not presented during the meeting.

Meanwhile, the GFA is scheduled to engage with supporters’ groups later today.
