Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Charlotte Osei, Others To Speak At Nana Aba Anamoah’s ‘Women Of Valour’

Radio and TV personality Nana Aba Anamoah has launched a new women empowerment project called ‘Women of Valour’.

The project is aimed at bringing together strong, courageous women to share their stories of triumph, loss and everything in between.

Expected to be held annually, Woment of Valour, Nana Aba hopes that through these women speaking their truth, others are inspired to recognise their own kind of courage, find common ground, confidence, inspiration, hope, meaning, and ultimately, inspiration toward empowered action.

The maiden edition of the event will take place on March 7, 2023, at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra, Ghana under the theme “Untold Stories of Courage.”

Speakers for the event include renowned Nigerian actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, former Electoral Commission boss Charlotte Osei, Ghanaian entrepreneur Eugenia Baffour Bankoh and many others.

● Eugenia Baffour Bankoh

Eugenia is a Ghanaian young social entrepreneur and Women & children’s rights activist whose main focus is advocacy against gender-based violence. She worked as a senior marketing consultant for the European Business Organization and later as Senior Marketing Manager for Orion Advertising Agency before she quit to focus on full-time advocacy.

She is the founder of The Safe Space Foundation and is currently running the foundation full-time. She is passionate about women and children advocacy and in her spare time, she prefers to read.

● Julia Stuart

Julia Stuart is an award-winning presenter and is a presenter at SuperSport International in South Africa. She works as a studio anchor and pitchside reporter on SuperSport’s many football properties including the DSTV Premiership as well as cup competitions in South Africa and Premier League TV internationally.

Julia anchored the just-ended Qatar 2022 World Cup on super sports. She also anchored the UEFA European Championships, Africa Cup of Nations, Fifa Women’s World Cup and UEFA Europa League.

The 2019 SAB Sports Video Media Presenter of the Year hosts the tactical analysis show Extra Time Reloaded. In 2020 she co-hosted the Premier Soccer League Awards for the first time.

● Omotola Jalade Ekeinde

Omotola Jalade Ekeinde aka OmoT is among many things, a multiple award-winning Nigerian actress, director, UNwfp ambassador and Amnesty International activist.

Omotola was in February 2013, honoured by TIME magazine, as one of 100 most influential people in the world alongside Michelle Obama, Kate Middleton and Beyonce. She is a Voting Member of the Oscars and a Member of the Actors Executive Committee for the Academy.

Omotola was on the 5th of February 2019 honoured By the “City of Los Angeles” as a Leading Black Person in cinema.

● Sika Goka

Sika Goka is a Certified Etiquette Coach who received her training from The British School of Etiquette in the UK. As part of her accreditation, she is also certified by The Institute of Leadership Management (ILM), City and Guilds. She has a BA in Business Studies from Buckinghamshire Chilterns University, UK.

Sika has more than a decade of experience in the banking sector, having worked in various roles within retail banking, mortgage services, and as Branch Manager with Barclays Bank, UK, and Head of Customer Services with Fidelity Bank Ghana.

She is currently the Chief Operations Officer for R and R Luxury limited Ghana. She has also worked in finance and administration within the e-learning sector, having established the Pitman Franchise in Ghana in her capacity as Managing Director.

● Obuobia Darko-Opoku

Obuobia is a Business Executive, philanthropist, and Communications Professional. Obuobia has many years of journalism practice, including being a radio and TV personality, working with many platforms in Ghana.

She is a former on-air personality at Radio Gold, hosted the breakfast show on TV Africa and currently with WoezorTV, one of Accra’s exciting television networks. She is a former Deputy Chief Executive of the Ghana Free Zones Authority.

Over the past few years, Obuobia Darko-Opoku has distinguished herself to be one of the finest Public speaking professionals in the country, speaking on various platforms and programs. She’s also an astute marketing and Brand specialist with wide experience in Corporate, product and personality branding.

● Charlotte Osei

Charlotte Osei is a highly accomplished Ghanaian Business Lawyer, Legal and International Elections Consultant with over 28 years of combined experience in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors within and outside Ghana. As a woman, Charlotte has shattered many glass ceilings in her professional life.

She was the first female Chair of Ghana’s National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE). Under her leadership, the NCCE witnessed some of its most significant transformations in its history. Again, she was the first female Chair of Ghana’s Electoral Commission and within two (2) years, presided over a local government election, parliamentary by-elections and Ghana’s very acclaimed Presidential and Parliamentary elections in December 2016.
