A fatal accident at Ekumfi Eyisam on the Winneba-Mankessim Highway in the Central region has claimed one life, with others seriously injured.
The incident occurred around 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.
The accident took place after the tyre of a Toyota Hiace with registration number GW 7601-24, traveling from Accra to Tarkwa, burst.
In an interview with Adom News, an eyewitness, Suleman Mustapha, narrated that the driver was descending a hill at high speed.
One person died on the spot, while 14 others, who were seriously injured, were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) for the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) Mankessim Division, ADO1 William Kwofie, told the media that the deceased was found trapped under the vehicle.
