The Bono East Regional Secretary for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), David Boakye, has said that Hon. Frederick Opare Ansah and some of the General Secretary aspirants are lazy with the exception Justin Koduah, however John Boadu is tipped to win the seat.
He said this when he joined the panel on Movement In The Morning Show with Oheneba Nana Asiedu to discuss the internal party elections.
In his submission he said, ‘’aside Koduah the rest of the General Secretary aspirants are not serious- they are lazy. Even Opare Ansah, after his tour last year, if he had put in more effort he would have been a part of the leading contenders in the General Secretary position”.
He went on to say that there are 6149 delegates nationwide with Ashanti Region leading with over 1000 delegates, followed by Greater Accra with 650 delegates.
‘’We are breaking the 8 with programs and strategies. We need competent and serious people who can help the party break the 8. Some of the aspirants have not stepped foot in Bono East and I am sure there are other Regions they have not visited’’, he stated.
He revealed that he is rallying his support for incumbent John Boadu.
