The Pharmaceutical industry suffered attacks under the leadership of former President John Mahama because he teamed up with his own appointee, Dr. Stephen Opuni to collapse them, Chairman Wontumi has said.
During a public lecturer held by Mr. Mahama at the auditorium of UPSA on Thursday, he accused President Akufo-Addo’s government of not assisting the pharmaceutical industry in Ghana.
But Chairman Wontumi hit back in an interview with Wontumionline.com, stating that the run-ins the government of Mr. John Mahama had with TOBINCO, was a clear example he had an agenda to kill Ghanaian owned businesses.
It would be recalled that in 2013 TOBINCO, a Ghanaian pharmaceutical giant, accused the John Mahama led government of masterminding a campaing to run down the company and force it out business.
Dr. Peter Tobbin, a member of the TOBINCO Communication team was on record to have said at the time that unless Mr. Mahama intervenes, Dr. Stephen Opuni was determined to kill another indigenous Ghanaian business.
