Our Target Is To Get 90% Automatic Placement To Have Access To Their School- Mark Mensah

National coordinator at computerised school selection and placement system (CSSPS), Mark Sasu Mensah, has revealed that their major aim this year is to aid 90% of students to have access to schools they would be automatically placed to.

He noted this in an interview with Kwaku Dawuro, on Movement In The Morning show, which airs on Movement TV/Wontumi radio, that due to vacancies at certain programs in some category A schools, provision will be made for students to have alternatives with regards to that.

” Last year there were about 2 or 3 vacancies at the Home economics department in Wesley Girls but yet there were people who did not have access even with aggregate 6, so we need it program by program. Some Category A schools programs are sometimes not all occupied so all those programs have been brought to Appendix 4.

For example Mawuli, after a year automatic placing there were a lot of vacancies there as well as Bolga Girls, so we’ll have automatic placement and when you check Appendix 4, you can find about 406 schools, that is what we call cluster of schools. These are the new selection guidelines we are aiming for this year. Our target is to get 90% automatic placement have access to their school,” he said.
